REX ALLEN JR. had a number of Top 10 Nashville hits in the 1970’s & 80’s, and is in the Western Music National Hall of Fame in New Mexico. He was also a regular on the Statler Brothers Show.  Cactus Country is his back up band when his shows bring him to Texas.  As a long time National Artist who's dad was also a hit singer and Western movie, we appreciate his comments. We'll be backing up Rex again in Oct 2014 in Waco!

We hired Cactus Country for my grandfather’s 80th birthday party. We had the party at a private ranch and they were very accommodating and extremely professional, as well as talented!! The band sounded so great, the guests danced all night to every single song. They sent me a song list to pick from, and stuck to it, even throwing some extras in, and the fiddle player did an insane encore of Devil Went Down to Georgia that left us screaming for more! All our guests were extremely impressed and have sore feet from dancing all night.  We can’t thank them enough for their professionalism and talent.  I have forwarded their info to a few guests who asked for booking info.  We highly recommend this band, they are fantastic!!

Hi Tony & Brenda     I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your performance last Thursday in Bandera.  It was well worth the drive from Corpus Christi to dance live to your music and to meet you in person!  Every song you played was excellent and we liked the fantastic variety and mix of songs/dances.  I can hardly wait until we can dance to your GREAT music again.  Thanks for a wonderful night!

  CRIDER'S RODEO - Hunt, Tx  2010

I work for Camp Lonehollow in Vanderpool, Texas. Every summer our counselors spend their Saturday nights at Criders. We love that place! In January we are having a counselor reunion out at Lonehollow and on Saturday night Jan. 15 and one of our ideas was to re-create Criders for our counselors. Every time I think of Criders I immediately think of Cactus Country. Ya’ll are the band that we always hope is there. So I was wanting information on booking Cactus Country for our reunion.

 Tony,   I just want to thank yall for doing such a great job at our reception.  The music and order of the songs were great.  Everybody including Jon and I enjoyed everything.  The grand march was so much fun too.  The next day everybody was talking about how much fun they during the grand march.  It was the talk of our gift opening on the Sunday after the wedding.  Now during the grand march I did lose the glass in one of my pictures frames because someone hit it and the glass broke, but it was all worth it to see the looks on people faces and how much fun they were having.

 Again I just wanted to thank yall and tell you that yall did a great job!

 The band was great.  I heard lots of good comments.

I had a good time. However;  I swear the margarita's had no alcohol.  I drank 5, and my sister in law did to.  We did not even get tipsy. Keith was there, he played at a table on the end the whole night.  Please pass on the note to your cousins with Cactus Country
